Quick update on ctcLink

It’s a busy time, so this is just a quick post to say “Happy Fall Quarter!” from ctcLink, and here are a few things on the horizon:

  • Colleges from all waves have been invited to start data cleanup as we prepare to convert data into the new ctcLink system. We started with student biographic-demographic data. Campus Solutions subject matter experts (SMEs) received the information and instructions this week. We are not on a tight deadline, but many colleges wanted to start data cleanup early and we will be converting all colleges’ bio-demo data before the FirstLink colleges go live in August 2014.
  • A special BPA session on Reporting will be scheduled as soon as we have the information and demonstration environment we need to hold an informative, successful workshop. Reporting SMEs, and other SMEs interested in this topic, will be notified once the session is scheduled.
  • An information session focused on Continuing Education processes in the new system will also be scheduled in the future. This will be advertised broadly. Stay tuned.

Have a great fall quarter. Here’s to no parking complaints the first week back!

About ctclinknews

ctcLink is a single, centralized system of online tools for student services and administrative functions for all 34 community and technical colleges in Washington. In the next several years, ctcLink will be implemented on every campus, providing online tools for everything from admissions to graduation. The first three ("FirstLink") colleges came online in August 2015. A wave of 8 more colleges (cleverly named "Wave 1") will switch over to the new ctcLink system in August 2016, followed by Wave 2 in 2017 and Wave 3 in 2018.
