BPA Sessions coming to a close…

Summer is coming to a close, and the same goes for the ctcLink Business Process Alignment (BPA) sessions.

By 4 pm Wednesday afternoon, Finance SMEs will join the others in completing the ‘summer BPA workshops series.’ That will conclude the BPA sessions, except for a couple topic-specific sessions recently scheduled for early September (Security and Employee Self-Service).

Meantime, Finance SMEs are still going strong this week, with a focus on the Grants Management module (If interested, college and SBCTC staff can go to the BPA webpage and download the Super Schedule to get the Grants workshop information).

One of the next steps for the project will be to move into the configuration phase. More about that will be coming soon.

But…not so fast! If you participated in the BPA sessions, you’ll recall the Business Process Diagrams (purple PowerPoint docs with the little ‘people roles’ in the bottom right). Those BPDs will help guide ctcLink configuration and many of them were adjusted based on SME feedback during the BPA sessions. If you’ve been curious about them and want to see the final BPDs, they will be loaded to the ctcLink website soon. Be on the lookout for a blog post later this week announcing their “arrival” online.

About ctclinknews

ctcLink is a single, centralized system of online tools for student services and administrative functions for all 34 community and technical colleges in Washington. In the next several years, ctcLink will be implemented on every campus, providing online tools for everything from admissions to graduation. The first three ("FirstLink") colleges came online in August 2015. A wave of 8 more colleges (cleverly named "Wave 1") will switch over to the new ctcLink system in August 2016, followed by Wave 2 in 2017 and Wave 3 in 2018.
