What’s up with the BPAs? (Self-Service features, Budgeting sessions and more!)

The ctcLink Business Process Alignment (BPA) sessions are still going strong, with lots of continued participation across the college system.

We kicked off August with a continuation of the Financial Aid sessions, while Finance SMEs focused on Receivables and Asset Management business processes (see happy Financial Aid and Finance SMEs below).

Even though HR/Payroll SMEs completed their BPA sessions a couple weeks ago, it doesn’t mean the work ended. They’ve been busy resolving the “action” and “parking lot” items that came up during their sessions. They’ve also been reviewing and approving the updated business process diagrams and associated roles, and they’ve even started the mapping process of Legacy-to-PeopleSoft data conversion for data extract testing.

NEXT WEEK!

  • Online Self-Service applications!
    • Student Center (student self-service) and Student Services Center (advisor/staff view of what a student sees) will be featured August 14 from 9 am to noon. The Advisor Self-Service and the Faculty Self-Service walkthroughs will be that afternoon from 1 pm to 4 pm.. If you want to better-understand the online tools students will get, and the online tools faculty and staff will have to better serve students, you’ll want to check this out. (Employee self-service features will be shared soon).
  • In addition, the long-awaited (for some) budgeting sessions to review the Hyperion software will be held Aug 13 – 14.

If you want to attend any of the sessions, get yourself on over to the ctcLink BPA webpage (accessible to college and SBCTC staff). The Super Schedule has all the info you need to participate online. If it’s your first time attending the sessions, the BPA webpage has other resources you’ll need as well, such as tips for logging on to WebEx. If you want to attend in person at SBCTC Bellevue, we need to know, so please give us a jingle at 425-803-9757.

If you’re busy next week or finally getting a summer vacation, we understand. The sessions will be recorded and available on the Super Schedule after the fact, so you can always catch them later.

Thanks to all you SMEs out there…in person and online! Click  the pics below to see just a few of them…

About ctclinknews

ctcLink is a single, centralized system of online tools for student services and administrative functions for all 34 community and technical colleges in Washington. In the next several years, ctcLink will be implemented on every campus, providing online tools for everything from admissions to graduation. The first three ("FirstLink") colleges came online in August 2015. A wave of 8 more colleges (cleverly named "Wave 1") will switch over to the new ctcLink system in August 2016, followed by Wave 2 in 2017 and Wave 3 in 2018.
