Foundation Decision documents published

While the BPA Workshops continue (well, except for the Human Capital Management track; they finished last week), many of you may recall the Foundation Decision sessions we held in advance of the BPA sessions.

In a nutshell, the Foundation Decisions set the framework and provide guidance for configuration and implementation of the new ctcLink system. A more detailed definition was posted as the Word of the Week a few months ago: Foundation Decisions

The big news!… All but four of the  Foundation Decision documents have now been posted on the College Resources page of ctcLink.sbctc.edu (available to college and SBCTC staff only). Click the Foundation Decisions tab on that page and you can review them there.

Note: Scroll past all the version-tracking and signature pages. Most start with an intro and purpose statement on page 6 of the document. The actual “decisions” are clearly marked as such.

The remaining four documents will be posted soon.

ctcLink is a single, centralized system of online tools for student services and administrative functions for all 34 community and technical colleges in Washington. In the next several years, ctcLink will be implemented on every campus, providing online tools for everything from admissions to graduation. The first three ("FirstLink") colleges came online in August 2015. A wave of 8 more colleges (cleverly named "Wave 1") will switch over to the new ctcLink system in August 2016, followed by Wave 2 in 2017 and Wave 3 in 2018.
