Tacoma Community College will be one of the first to implement the new ctcLink technology system and, even though the actual implementation process is many months away, TCC’s ctcLink College Team is ready to go.

“TCC is proud to be selected as a FirstLink college and our team is eager to get started,” said TCC President Pamela Transue. “As a pilot college, we will have the opportunity to lead the way in implementing the new information software solution that will be used by all the community and technical colleges in the state.”

As a FirstLink college, TCC (along with the Community Colleges of Spokane) will take part in some initial planning steps later this year once the ctcLink vendor has been selected. Then, the implementation phase for the two pilot colleges will begin early next year.

“ctcLink is a worthwhile investment for our entire system,” Transue said. “We know being a pilot will require a substantial commitment of time and resources up front, but the benefits far outweigh the challenges and I’d like to thank our TCC community for making this possible. It’s our commitment to innovation and change that led us to becoming a FirstLink college.”

About ctclinknews

ctcLink is a single, centralized system of online tools for student services and administrative functions for all 34 community and technical colleges in Washington. In the next several years, ctcLink will be implemented on every campus, providing online tools for everything from admissions to graduation. The first three ("FirstLink") colleges came online in August 2015. A wave of 8 more colleges (cleverly named "Wave 1") will switch over to the new ctcLink system in August 2016, followed by Wave 2 in 2017 and Wave 3 in 2018.
